Insanely dreamy blues.

The perfect backdrop of my dream destination ; electric blue, crystal blue, sparkling aquamarine... I've never seen anything like it.

Maldives captured my heart and soul. A place on Earth so unique, a natural formation proving that paradise does in fact exist. Hundreds of islands scattered across the Indian Ocean and I landed on Hideaway Beach Resort, a luxurious retreat on one such private island.

For my island life, I checked out all of my favourite brands on REVOLVE. Tularosa and Lovers + Friends are two brands which I can always count on to end up with too many pieces in my shopping basket!! It's no surprise I lived in a swimsuit for seemingly my entire time in Maldives. We spent every each day hopping from saltwater villa pool directly into the ocean or out exploring aboard the Top Cat, our catamaran taking us out to adventure on the water (there may have been a lost at sea floating only in a life vest moment, however it would have been far scarier had the water not been so perfectly gorgeously clear and calm).

The 'Walker' crochet knit by Tularosa has a lace up neck with fun pom pom trim accent. I love it in the ivory and beige stripe for natural color tones perfect for the beach.

The Ocean Tides one piece by Lovers + Friends is a simple yet alluring design with a cut out back and lace up front. You can bet I'm super relieved to not be sporting any strange tan lines given my love for lace ups this season.

With views like this, it's no surprise that breakfast was the main event of each day. The water by our breakfast table was so many shades of aquamarine, creating the idyllic backdrop to start the day. Each morning we would watch the many different colours tropical fish and gummy sharks swim by as we gorged on so many different kinds of tropical fruit, enjoyed local delicacy stuffed chapati and had the best spinach omelettes I have ever tasted!

My go-to summer dresses are the beautiful blush pink Kory dress by Lovers + Friends and the blossom print Berkshire dress by Majorelle.

I can't even begin to describe how grateful I am for my time in Maldives (and no, it wasn't my honeymoon even!!). This beautiful destination has imparted a great respect for our stunning planet. This is just one of those dream destinations everyone says you need go to but in my opinion, it's firmly in the 'if not now then when' bucket. I know I'll be back!
